We got the apartment in Brooklyn. So that's good. Still waiting on the lease and all that bullshit.

I've missed a thousand of your entires. I'm sure they were riveting/ sexy/ insightful/ interesting and I'll always be missing a part of something for not going back and reading them.

Meh.

So apparently it's a jewish holiday.. which means I won't know anything more about the apartment I want until Wednesday. Today is the day I head back home and I'm quite ready for such things. I miss my girl and my cat.

Just when I'd given up any hope of hearing back and contacted a different broker ready to charge me that extra month's rent just for finding a place, the guy who was looking into the apartment I wanted called me back and said that it's probably a go ( Read more... )

Arrived in NYC today.

It feels good just to be here even if I've done nothing today except sit on trains and hang out at my cousin's place in Brooklyn.

Two weeks off work: Check.
Train to NYC on the 23rd: Check.
Places to stay from 23rd to 29th: Check.
Money in bank to pay deposits: Check.

Starting Saturday (and likely sooner) two weeks off from the grind. No vacation lost/ no pay gained.

It's time to go look for apartments in NYC.
